TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

It’s me the Miracle Child!!

I thought I would share the miracles that I am aware of with all of you that have been praying for me. I hope this bolsters your faith and you realize that God is alive and still working miracles on this earth.

1. Troy was told I would be in therapy for 4-8 weeks before I would be able to go home. It was 2 1/2 weeks and I am now home. (To God Be The Glory!)

2. Doctor Thorell said he did not expect me to survive the 2nd aneurysm surgery because I was so ill the morning I had the 2nd aneurysm burst. Here I am!! I am a miracle. To see more about this go to my blog and scroll down to Troy’s testimony(Feb 11) click the second link.

3. I stopped breathing and all vitals shutdown before the 2nd surgery. The doctor expected me to be dead when he came in but God has other plans for me! It’s exciting to know I have a purpose that is important to God. Thank you all who have been sustaining me and my family through your prayers.

4. I am able to do most things unaided. Anyone who knows a stroke or head injury person knows they lose some function. I am having a problem with short term memory which is driving Troy crazy but hey I had a problem before my aneurysm so what’s the problem?!

5. My husband was able to take a month off work to be with me 24 hours. (that might kill us!!!) just kidding. I am actually happy to be able to spend the time with him. He has been doing everything. The laundry, the cleaning, paying the bills, taking care of the girls, the dogs, my doctor appointments, its nice to have this break.

6. My brother Tony got to come home from Afghanistan to see me in the hospital. And with my head shaved, I look just like him!!!!

7. I can still knit. That’s what kept me sane in the last 2 weeks of hospital lockup.

8. The way family, friends and others have stepped up to the plate to help our family with the kids, with me (Thank you all who are helping pick up the girls from school), financially(Thank you Greg for setting up the account at the bank, Tracy thank you for the Avon fundraiser), with food, (We had a fabulous meal from my Godmother) (Thank you Uncle Subby and Chris for the food at the hospital!)Thank you for the gift cards Joe & Chrissy. Thank you for your Prayers; There is power in prayer. I am the living proof. If there is anything I left off or I am not aware of…Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, I am surrounded by the most wonderful of family and friends.

Please pray that my short term disability goes thru so that I can get paid. Pray that I will get my skull cap put back in soon. Ang,

Sounds like things are going really well for you. Want to work on your short term memory? Play games, board games, solitaire, little kid game Memory. Do crossword puzzles, word searches, etc. It all challenges the short term memory center. And you will get an opportunity to see how frustrated you can get, but then hey, frustration is a good sign, at least you recognize there's work to be done. Oh, and do things with the wrong hand, like brush your teeth, use a spoon, that forces you to pay attention longer than you normally would. I've tried that brushing your teeth with the wrong hand. I have trouble going sideways or up and down or both all at once. Keep your spirits up and keep laughing.
Michelle is so happy to read things on here she talks about it to Ang (little Ang!!)and me everytime she sees something exciting. I have to go to bed so I can get up and test my tolerance level again with 17 or more 2-5 year olds. Oh joy. Chris And don't forget do therapy with kids who think I'm the meanest thing that ever walked. I especially like it when the parents tell me "he started crying when we pulled in the parking lot". Oh goody.
